glass cover overtop of sub?

ok so i wanna put my sub and amps in a false floor in hatch part of a 2006 a3, but i want to cover it w/something like glass so i can still lay stuff down in the back. would i be able to cover the whole sub or would that mess up w/the sound? i imagine it would but im not sure. or could i maybe make a cutout for where the sub is in the glass? thanks!

yea, glass would be a NO NO , PLexi would be ok tho

it may effect how your subs sound, it would kinda be like puttin them in a sealed enclosure
