well i finally convinced best buy to honor the in store replacement plan that i have after fighting for a year. my ipod is one of the first generation ones, it would dump all the music off of it, freeze so you had to let the battery die for it to free up, and the battery would last a whopping 30-45 minutes without the backlight on. so now the new ipod with video capabilites are coming in on saturday and they argreed to exchange mine for one of those when they come in. i actually got them to do something about it, in writing. well that is my story of the day.

Best buy has a little known secret that if you buy the extended warrenty and if they no longer have your model in stock they will give you a different model that is around the same price..

I have no idea why they would agree to give him a video one.. might be of the same price he paid for his ipod a year ago...

i would have thought they'd just give him a nano or a regular ipod...

i think that the new ipod has video capabilites. i dont think it is anything special, just a new feature. it is a 30 gig hd. the nano has had many problems. the first batch i guess was really bad. a person i know that works at apple says wait another month or so for that one. but bb was out of the ipods because of the new ones coming out, so their new shipment arrives on sat.
