get rid of the bass

There should be some adjustements on your head unit. Read through the owners manual and try to find out what features control what. If not, you may have to purchase some Bass Blockers or an inline crossover.

Well, what kind of head unit do you have? Does it have separate subwoofer preouts? If it does then you can find the bass setting on your head unit and turn it down so the speakers powered by the receiver don't get as much bass. If you have the RCA's to your subs running off the rear preouts then your probably going to have to get bass blockers.

ok, that's coo. I have the alpine 7894 which is basically the exact same HU...but w/ mp3 compatibility. Press and hold the t.corr button...then the crossover menu will come up. LPF...is the low pass x-over....which filters out highs and allows lows, u don't need this. Get to the HPF, which is the high pass x-over...this blocks out the lows and allows the highs...select this and set it to either like 80hz or the nearest. This will block out anything below 80hz and not allow it to go to your speakers. NE more help, hit me up...i'll look at my HU in the morning to get the exact every button to press if u need it. good luck, peace

That's the headunit i have. I know there is a way to adjust it. Try going through the manual again, i know it's in there somewhere. Actually, try pushing down the volume knob. The first thing that comes up is the Sub control. Press the volume knob down again, i think that's where the bass/treble controls are. Not sure, but give it a shot.
