the alpine is very nice yes they give same output at 2phms and 4 but most alpine amps in that series can do alittle more than the stated voltage they should have 'birth sheets' that state there lab tested outputs. if you want a nice amp that is 4 channel but rocks at 4 ohms and gives more at 2ohms http://www.woofersetc.com/p130/GT42--Boston-Acoustics-4-Ch-700-Watt-Amplifier.htm •4-Channel High Current Amplifier •2 Ohm Mono Stable •Advanced cooling allows varied mounting positions •Adjustable feet for varied mounting surfaces •Screw-down security cover protects tuning controls •Terminals accept bare heavy-gauge wire •Adjustable input sensitivity: 0.2 - 5 V •Variable High-Pass Crossover: 20 - 350 Hz (12 dB/Oct) •Variable Low-Pass Crossover: 50 - 350 Hz (24 / 12 dB/Oct) •Variable Q Control: 0.7 - 1.2 •Power and Safe LEDs •Recessed RCA Inputs allow clearance for tight mounting locations •Optional subwoofer level control not included •Dimensions: 22" L x 9" W x 2-1/2" H •RMS Power Rating: •14.4VDC: •100 watts x 4 chan. @ 4 ohms •150 watts x 4 chan. @ 2 ohms •300 watts x 2 chan. @ 4 ohms •450 watts x 2 chan. @ 2 ohms •12.6VDC: •75 watts x 4 chan. @ 4 ohms •120 watts x 4 chan. @ 2 ohms •220 watts x 2 chan. @ 4 ohms •350 watts x 2 chan. @ 2 ohms alittle more than your other amp you where looking at but these amps are monsters they are old model of there series so big discount all over but I have a few and they are realy clean amps btw they are 22in long so very big / long so dont fit in some installs easy
