Gawd Dam PS3 Internet issues

No...Modem is located down in the basement and dont have an ethernet cable:crap:
any way you could get ahold of Brad Johnson? I hear he is good with these types of things, he won't be going anywhere after season's end so he should be free.

have you tried disabling the security to see if you can connect? if so then the problem is likly w/ your security

Yea...I tried it many times with my Secuirty on...didnt work.

Went into my modem settings, turned WEP off, made it an open network...and it still wont connect...Now when I did this, when I went into my ps3 and went through the setup wizard...It asks me my ssid, i confirm it. Asks me security, say none. I then get a message saying " a connection to the access point could not be established. Check the secuirty settings for the Wireless LAN(8013013E)

make sure you have it so your settings say it accepts wireless G and Wireless B connections, i forget which one the PS3 is, i think G, but set it to both just in case.

You might be able to get some help here http://www.portforward.com/guides.htm

But the way I set mine up was I assigned my ps3 an IP address on the pc first, and set that one up on DMZ. DMZ is basically placing that IP address outside the firewall if I understand correctly. That way you won't have connection issues playing Multiplayer games.

I am not too familiar with that router, so I would have to look up how to do it. If I come across anything I will post it here.

To get the IP address, on the pc go to start/run/cmd and type in IPconfig

It will then give you a bunch of numbers and all of that. Also to go into the router settings, pull up a IE window and type in 192.168.1.1 or 0.1. Might be different for the router you have, but that's what I need to look up.
