i know this isnt car audio, but i need to know if you guys know anything about gateway notebooks. i havent owned one of these , and i wanted to buy one. just needed to know if they are good or bad.

also what is the difference between amd turion 64 and amd athlon 64

all gateway products **** balls, i would never buy anything from them. a few of my friends have had their computers and within the first few months stuff has broken that shouldnt, like brand new gateway monitors and video cards.

I have owned mostly Gateway desktops. Loved them for what I paid for them and also gateway has nothing but good ole american technical support. So if you do have a problem you can actually understand them. I am tired calling these bishes from India and you cant understand a god dam thing they are saying (dell and sony). To me that is huge.

I also like there notebooks. I am formating my grandmothers right now as we speak. I love it so far and dont want to give it back to her, lol! I think for 700 bucks it is hard to beat. I would recommend it.

I just got a dell inspiron e1505 with a 1.8ghz intel core (runs just as fast spped wise, and battery life is almost 2x what my old 2.6 centrino dell) with 1gb memory, 80gig hd, 15.4widescreen for under 700 shipped

Gateways are solid machines, but dells you can get more for the same price if you watch their deals.

umm no and depens on how much money you have. voodoo will kick all other laptops ***. you should really check out http://www.ocforums.com and as far as gateway *******. try to not make an *** out yourself. their new 21 inch widescreen monitors are some of the top ones around.
