Well a buddy of mine has had this Dodge Avenger for ~5 years now. The bumper has somewhat turned into more of a plow on the **** thing lol and it was tore up bad. Fixing it up for him and putting fresh paint on it. Nice paint too, very expensive at $110 a pint. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

Anyways, trying to finish this so I can get back to work on my own stuff. Heres some pics....BTW Im SICK of sanding this thing.

That was the start of the sanding. A lot of the paint was chipped off so most of it was stripped.

Rattle can after sanding

More sanding, high build, primer sealer, more sanding.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Still scratches showing through from the last 220 sanding. Next day or two Ill hit it good with 400, fix any major problem spots and then I can finally paint it.

This thing would have been done soo long ago if I hadnt ran into issues with the ****ing adhesion promoter...oh well, wont happen again Ill tell you that much.

make sure you put some backing where that crack was on the bottom of the bumper. otherwise it could crack again

Dont worry, the backside got the treatment reaal, just dont have a pic.

ill recommend Alsa Pla-stick next time for an adhesive promoter. I ****in love that stuff, low odor and has never reacted on me.
Nioce! This was just some **** my buddy had from a while back when he got the paint. It was bulldog or some ****, not real good experience for me though. I would have rather went to the paint store and got my own. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Just went out and showed the bumper to him a few minutes ago. I went through and circled all the imperfections with a sharpie.

Gonna hit it with some 400 on the orbital tomorrow after work, then if all is well, do another coat of primer, let it tack, then 3-4 good coats of red base, then a few coats of Omni clear.

But, on a real bad note, I went over and looked at this truck I did back in the summer. Painted the rockers and lips of the fenders on it. It was a work truck and got tore up real bad. Well, the guy didnt take care of it and the back wheel wells on the bed are fvcked.

Kinda pissed about it, I put soo many hours into in such a short amount of time. Oh well....come summer time Ill probably have him bring it buy again, drop off some money for materials and do it right by putting a bed liner coating along the bottom so he stops tearing up the paint.
