Nets got Devin Harris (who is an electrifying PG), Jerry Stackhouse who is a solid 6th man, Diop who is the big man they need, $3mil, and two future 1st round picks...Mavs got Kidd and some scrub.

Mavs have no bench now, and the Nets are going to be much better off IMO.

The Mavs got screwed, royally. They're not as deep now, and they already had a good PG. They will be worse in the short term, and struggle down the road because of this trade.

Devin Harris and two first round picks are worth more than Jason Kidd, in my opinion. The rest is just fodder.

Not sure this was a great trade for the Mavericks but if they're able to put together a championship, then it was worth it.

It really isnt that bad of a trade. They only have a couple years to win the title with Nowitzki anyways and Harris isnt going to the hall of fame. I dont like giving up the draft picks but they had to do something with the suns having Shaq and the Lakers now awesome looking attack.

Plus I heard we are getting Stackhouse back after 30 days.

Its giving up the future for right now so its a win/lose.

Definitely worth it if they can get the title. Not if they dont.

the only thing the nets need was the money and the wirst round picks. they will buy out stachouses contract, and he will return to the mavs after 30 days. diop and george have expiring contracts and will be free agents after this year. they will keep harris, and the money, and get 2 nice picks out of it. they have kristic and richard jefferson and young talent that they will now build there team around.

Kidd is going to be out of the league in 3-4 years...Harris is the fastest developing PG in the league, playing hella good, and absolutely owning Tony Parker whenever they face each other. He makes Parker look slow, and no one else in the league can do that.
