fu ck my rearview mirror

I'm so sick of it falling off..I've tried the 2 part loctite kit, permatex 1 peice rv glue, super glue and nothing will work.. I'm preparing the surface correctly and everything but it keeps breaking. I do realize that super glue cant hold up to heat/cold that well compared to the rv kits.Though the sg seems to hold up just as well . Tried the 2 pc kit again yesterday and it fell off when trying to get the metal tab fully seated this morning. I'll admit i used alittle nudge to get it that last 1/8 the of a inch...But still..........

I used a razor blade on both surfaces to get off the old glue. Cleaned both surfaces and held the tab on the glass for 3 minutes.

It first started when i installed my 3 12's. I've had to glue it weekly since. Since then i changed my setup (not nearly as loud) And it still does it.

The only thing i've tried was glueing the metal tab to a 3" diameter "saucer" and then glueing the saucer to the windsheild for more surface area..

Anyone have any other tricks or idea's or should i just learn to use my side mirrors.

yea, thats the 2 pc loctite rvm kit and the permatex rv mirror glue..and just reg super glue.

Instead of holding it for 3 minutes, tape it up there and leave it overnight...it will hold MUCH better then

Not when you break the metal post extending to the glass in half...on three different mirrors.

I've never seen much use out of my rear view mirror anyways, with "all objects in mirror are bouncing up/down 4" 500x/sec"

i like seeing who's behind me clearly..I cant reall do that with the side views.. Guess i'm just so used to useing my rearview. That and i have my compass module and auto dim ect intergrated into it.
