sometimes (if you buy gamestop or if you move the xbox accidently) a ring will form about 3/4 of the way to the edge of the disk - it usually prevents gameplay - it happened to my Ghost Recon and i can't load early levels, but i can load later levels - my friend had it happen to his Gears and it just freezes in this one spot everytime he plays it....

wondering if any have it - it's extremely visible if you just look at disk
