12 Feb 2009 - Added price below, added picture of HDMI, S-Video, VGA & Firewire ports.

Hello everyone,

Up for sale is my Sony Vaio VGN-AR-750E Laptop. I just recently purchased it this last October, because I was having problems with my other laptop. The laptop was bought at my military post here in Kosovo @ AAFES for $1999.95. I still have all of the original boxes, paper work & reciepts.

First off, I just want to say, I absolutley love this laptop. Honestly, I don't really want to sell it, because it's a power house & I've never had a single problem out of it. It has THE brightest, best looking laptop screen that I've ever seen and I'm in the army so I've seen my share of laptops. This thing flys no matter what you are doing or how many things you throw at it at once. It was def. designed to be a gaming/multimedia laptop/desktop replacement. Let's get into the specs:

S-Video(1)

VGA(1)

Firewire(1)

Warranty:

About 6-7 months left from Sony.

Condition:

The laptop is in great condition. I'd say it's 8/10 cosmetically & 10/10 mechanically.

The reasons I give it an 8/10 coesmetically, is because the screen has one dead pixel (little dark spot) and the keyboard has the normal wear. You'll see what I'm talking about in the pictures.

I've used it mainly to IM/webcam/skype my family, but have also had the chance to do a little gaming on it. I've ran World of Warcraft, Team Fortress 2 and Call of Duty 4 and all of them ran smooth on high settings. Movies look spectacular! I also have a Dell XPS 1530 (the laptop I had problems with) and this Sony puts the Dell to shame when it comes gaming/movies.

Why I'm selling:

I'm going to be home here in about 20 days and the wife & I already own two other laptops. I bought this one as a replacement for my Dell XPS M1530 that I sent home to be repaired. It's also more then I need. I use to be a gamer, but my priorities have changed quite a bit. So, this laptop is no use to me anymore.

What I'm looking for in trades:

A set of wheels 18x8 5x114.3 around a 35mm offset

Anything car audio

Possibily a Ipod Touch+cash

Anything pretaining to a 02 RSX Type S

Entertain me, I'm pretty much open to anything.

Also, I can do cash straight up via paypal or MO. Like I said above, I paid $2,000 for it and it's pretty much new so don't completly lowball me. I already expect to take a significant loss.

The transaction will have to take place AFTER I get home (so around 20 days) that'll way I can ship it via UPS or Fedex and not have to deal with the high shipping price. I just thought I'd go ahead and list this, because I know it's tax season and I figured someone might be interested in a really good deal. (I'm really flexible on this) I an hold this for you, until I'm able to ship.

If you have ANY questions at all, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm 7 hours ahead of central time right now so I might not get back to you immediatly, but your question will be answered!

say will this run world or warcraft? and pm me a price extemely interested
Shortly after I got this laptop I played WoW quite a bit and it always ran smooth. FPS was always around 60-100 dependent on the situation. If you end up taking it off my hands, I'll throw on a clean install of WoW after I whipe it, if you want.

Price is up in the air for right now, until I research into it a little bit. Used laptops typically don't hold their value very well, so I'm ready to take a hit. If you want, you can PM me an offer for now and we can go from there.

Last thing, make sure you read my whole thread through-out, because all of your answers were in there. Sorry about the long read though!

Dustin

*Edit*

Just noticed that I have to list a price on this.. so I'm going to say $1,575.00 shipped + paypal fees, if using paypal. Price is VERY flexible and I'm open to all offers.

Also, I found a really good pro/con review, here:

Has some really good pics of the laptop too.

Forgot to mention this laptop has S-Video, HDMI, VGA & Firewire outputs! Also has about 6-7 months left of warranty!

Awesome laptop, looks like it can play any game out there right now at a decent framerate. Free bump for you, somebody buy this, its an insanely good laptop!
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Thanks for the free bump! This laptop will run any game out there, I garentee that.

I had Crysis on my XPS M1530 which has near the same specs (same video card) and it ran great! And I believe Crysis was or still is one of the most hardware demanding games out there.

Picture of Windows Experience Index Score. Really good for a laptop.

Definitely the best Laptop I've seen around here, and just for all the interested I've played Crysis on a different Laptop with the same card 8600GT and it's awesome, not maxed out but very decent settings, so if Crysis can be played, all games can be played.

One thing you might want to correct is the resolution of the Display, if it's Full HD, must be 1920x1080 not 1440x900, or if it's really 1440x900 it's not Full HD, but I think it's Full HD since it has Blu-ray unless it means full HD by HDMI output only, I don't know just a heads up.

Also, you said it has 4GB, but it has a 32-bit windows, so it can only recognize 3.25GB of the memory because of the 32-bit limitation, doesn't matter if it shows the whole 4GB it can only use 3.25GB unless the OS is 64-bit

If I wasn't broke I would definitely make an offer, but I can't, I wish you good luck selling it, it's a great Laptop.

Yeah I'm confused over the HD now too! I'll look it up later. I just can't go on enough about how beautiful the screen is. You can see the screen perfect from all angles, with no glare or anything! It reminds me a lot of a actual desktop LCD. The colors are VERY sharp too, this is nothing like my Dell's screen which was grainy/sandy looking.

Also, thanks for the heads up on the RAM. The laptop is equipped with 4 gigs of ram, yet all 32bit operating systems only pick up 3.25gigs of it like he said. Not a big deal, but just FYI in case you didn't know.

Thank you for your knowledge! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
