I can also vouch for the 01D.. Good head unit..

One of the few Burr-Brown Excelons... Dual Differential also.

I think Kenwood went to wolfson's now, but this one is super clean and relatively quiet, despite my less than perfect install... Makes me wish Excelon would get back into SQ deadhead units. Amp on this one is defeatable and it does make a difference.. better power supply to the dacs and preamp with the internal amp off and less crap in the signal path.. Also the DSP can be dissabled which cleans it up that much more, but you still have TA, Crossovers and the Parametric EQ.

Served me well for about a year until I was stupid enough to let it go with the trade in car.. no time to mess with removal/replacement, so oh well.
