FS: Modded xbox with 250gb hard drive

I posted this months ago at a much higher price and it is still sitting here collecting dust and I want it gone!. It works but it doesnt.

The way it was set up it was booting into the mod chip dashboard and I had to manually go to xbmc everytime so I decided I would try this walkthrough that would make it boot right into xbmc to make it more user friendly.

Well I changed the file names and ftp'ed the new files on the box and now on boot it just stalls and does nothing. I have been told I can just take out the hard drive and hook it up to a pc and change the file names back and it will work fine again.

I dont want to mess with all that and would rather sell it cheaper and have someone else deal with it. I am not a gamer, all I use it for is to stream movies over my network and I have another modded xbox that boots right into media center to do that for me.

Details:

It has an EVOX mod chip in it, or at least thats what it said on bootup before I messed with it.

The 250gb Western Digital hard drive has about 90 xbox games on it and thousands of emulated games from atari, nintendo, mame, etc...

It has a Samsung DVD drive in it which sticks every once in a while, but that is fixed by just pressing on it and it will open right up. You gotta be at the machine to insert a disc anyway so it was never really an issue.

This is the xbox only, the only thing it will include is the power cord, no controllers or anything. IMO the hard drive is worth $50 and the chipped xbox is worth $75, buy them seperately for those prices or both together for....

yes it is but unfortunately there are many lazy people like me who dont wanna bother with it

one of the main reasons i am selling is cause i am switching my collection over to HD and the xbox doesnt have enough cpu power to play those effectively so i am building a new home theater pc instead

it does play streamed dvd iso, xvid and mp3s fine though and i still use my other modded xbox to stream those formats

BTW EVOX is the os for the chip.

ya there were a ton of people interested when i first posted, but nobody wanted to take the time to fix it

someone make a resonable offer and i will probably take it

it is like having $115 sitting on the counter that i could use for other stuff
