I have a similar model, the KD-AR880. The front panel USB input is great on those HUs. Once you try it you can't live without it.

And the AUX input is that wire hanging off the back.

Doh didnt even realize it had the usb port, but my mp3 players usb plug broke off :/ so id need the aux input.. if my pioneer is def. out of commision ill get back to you
