check woofersetc.com in the pioneer section. its the newer pioneer models. the 5900iB is blown, full warranty, just have to send it in to sonic electronix. i got all the papers on it, it was 200.00. the 6900UB is what im using now, works perfectly, that one was 215.00 (all before shipping) so total it was around 430 or so including tax and shipping. ill link pics when i get off work, im supposed to be there at 4. its 4:15. i have a 30 min drive to work. im soooooo gonna be late lol. peace homie

ok, have fun at work, i work nights as well so I know the drill.

Pentium M 1.6 ghz

512 SDDR Ram

17" Widescreen monitor

Touchpad

60 or 80gb hard drive not sure its pretty big tho

ATI radion x300 128mb video card (plays some video games Counter strike source on medium graphics settings but does not play real well on battery power it really needs a power source to keep the juice flowing to it)

Xp-pro will be loaded on it as a Volume license and you won't be able to download the new IE 7 or WMP11. but you can still download security updates *edit* the Vol License is not "purchased" under my name

It Had XP-Home on it and i still got the key for it but Home sux big balls..

Im a bit of a tech myself so i can't load a bunch of software on it such as Auto-Cad07, Adobe Photoshop cs2 or cs3, Macromedia Studio 8 *edit* all software does not have a so called "purchased license" But has a working key and can download updates and whatnot for the program.

I can load a Free anti-virus program anti-spyware and windows comes with a firewall (also use Firefox way better in a million ways not full of spam like IE is)

But basically i will wipe and reload the OS on it because right now im using a dual boot with Fedora core 6 on it (Linux) and MS XP Pro So i can reload windows on it and make the computer good as new.

The computer went in for check-up and i had them swap out the RAM and the Hard drive and the battery (before my warranty ran out) i made up a few excuses about the computer so they would replace them Im gonna say that it was done close to 7 months ago. i will add in a con tho it is kinda bulky and has cosmetic damage (again the screen has no damage to it whatsoever)

yes i agree poo, but you have the lead... whats wrong with it cosmetically? just that its white (i read the review and it was white...) and has scuff marks? im going to bring it to shows with me, my garage, work, everywhere so its not that big of a deal, i appreciate the time to accurately describe the pros, cons, and updates and what-not... and im a computer tech as well, and i understand about the 'valid license, etc'... no red flags there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif in fact i would have wiped it anyways and used an xp pro corp key and my "workarounds" shall we say lol.

hit me back and if you can get some pix i'll def keep this thing on locks until we discuss more. i'll take a pic of the remote as well.

also your workarounds.. i found a couple of programs to "fool" the validation tool and it actually makes ur copy "valid" with microsoft.. u by any chance got that?

it sounds like this might be a laptop for you. basically what you are gonna do with it is what i did with it.
