Sold FS/FT Cadence txa1000d

I see a lot of works been done to the amp.
Can I ask what happened to it to warrant that amount of repairs?

Also did you use the amp after the repairs or not?
Basically it was incorrect gain settings. You can't use a dmm with this amp because it doenst have a regulated power supply so all ur readings will be nonsensical unless you use a dummy load. I wasn't aware of this at first so my gains were a bit high.

Btw its sold already.

So you say all that stuff malfunctioned because you set the gain on the amp to high???

Thats a whole lotta stuff. Even the cooling fan...

And ya never answered my last question. Did you use it after it came back from Cadence?

These amps are known for a noise cooling fan so that was an unrelated issuse. And yea basically you fry alot of internal components by using the gain as a volume knob.

Maybe someone with more experience frying amps can chime in as to what exactly happens when they go out.

And to answer your question yes it was functioning when I got it back from Cadence I had it in for about a week before selling it.

Ok thats what I figured...

So you didnt "just get it back" then. You got it back, used it, fried it.. .then sold it.

Yea Jason is the man, I gotta give it to Cadence.

Afterall they did repair an amp that was fried due to end user error twice now... Amazing... Speaks volumes about the company and sadly the seller.

Lol not quite. I bought it used it for 4 months or so then it fried. I got it back it worked for another 2 weeks before I decided on selling it..it was in working condition when I received it and when I took it out of my vehicle.
