I'm the original owner of this A404.2 - since sometime between 1994 and 1996 - but unfortunately the original box is long gone. I purchased it at HiFi Buys, which at the time was a local chain (later bought out by the also-now-bankrupt Tweeter) that sold decent audio gear. (The salesperson who sold it to me was Rob Hephner.) It is in excellent overall condition, with the minor cosmetic flaws pictured below.
Includes original plugs.
Warranty seal on bottom plate intact, and the S/N is 96040130.
(foilcals in perfect condition)
$225 plus actual shipping from 30066. Unfortunately, it just won't fit in a USPS Priority Mail Medium Flat-Rate box. I know the dimensions for both say it should, but trust me, it bulges just a little. But it will be packed securely, as befits a piece of car-fi history.
Proceeds from sale will go entirely towards the victims of the terrible flooding in Pakistan.
Here are the flaws in the amp:
1) Two small bobbles in the original finishing on the front edge (factory defect)
2) A tiny flake of paint off the left edge (see my finger for size reference)
3) A tiny flake of paint off the leading edge on the bottom (again, see finger)
4) A tiny flake of paint off of the input side above the "Rear Input" label.
Includes original plugs.
