Sold Fs: Eclipse 8454 $155 Shipped

It is a 2004 model. I bought it new in 2005- paid around $500. I cannot believe that these things are not holding there value like they used to. This is a top notch competition ready deck.

it really is an impressive deck i had a 8443, but for some odd reason it wont read CD's anymore, im thinkin of sending it in, instead of buying a new deck. many options, more than i knew what to do with.

Yep, I have heard of many Eclipse units that do not read cd's well. This is a pretty amazing deal, probably cheaper than repairing your 8443. It also has more tuning capabilities...

Any chance you have the specs for this? I've tried finding them on the Manufactures website and i can't seem to. Do you have the manual or a link to one? The Aux input is a mini plug? Thanks, Drew

I know the specs- 24 bit DA converter, 8 volt 55ohm preouts (3 sets), active crossover, full eq, time alignment, auxilary input with mini plug input for ipod etc. Any other questions, just ask!

I cannot find the mic that came with it, but I am sure you could get one from Eclipse. But yes, it does have that capability. If you have never used an Eclipse HU before, the sound quality will astound you.

Ok, I'm just wondering about one other thing. Why do you think your ipod sounds better with the rcas as opposed to the mini plug? I'm worried about that since my carputer is my source and i'll only use this for the volume control, eq and t/a.

It is not so much that is sounds better, it sounds the same to me, but it is easier to use the bottom dock to rca because the volume level is fixed and I do not have to worry about one of my friends turing up the ipod volume too much and distorting the shit out of my speakers (i ended up with a blown tweet this way because the aux input could not handle the high volume. As long as you have volume control on the carputer, you will have no problems.
