Not so good

This unit falls short in so many ways.
-As mentioned, the glare is unbearable. I was almost getting in accidents trying to read the screen in the daylight. If you're wearing sunglasses as well, forget about it.
-The volume knob works too slow. It takes so long to turn it from "quiet" to "loud" that sometimes you settle for "medium".
-For some reason the deck always sets the iPod to "shuffle songs" within the album. I don't know how it happens, but it is annoying.
-When you go to search, you have to start back at the beginning - not like the iPod where it starts from the album you were currently on.
-The 2 band EQ is weak when you spend 350 on a deck. And no, I am not spending 180 more on the imprint system - that is insulting.
As far as the intangible quality of "sounding good", this unit does not have it. I ended up replacing this with the 9886 and the sound quality was night and day. With flat EQ settings on both, the 9886 sounded way more punchy and crisp - I could tell a huge difference the second I turned it on.
Props to
Crutchfield though. I brought my car in a couple days after the return policy ended and expressed my unhappiness - they still swapped out the deck for me at no charge. Awesome people there. Overall, I am much happier with the 9886. Sure I miss the color album art, and although I could definitely nitpick a couple things about the 9886, it is not even close to the laundry list that the x100 had.
