friend says placement of xover effects sound

The settings of the crossover (if there are any) will affect the output.

Its physical location will not.

Your friend = moron //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

hahah. your friend is a douche.
no the placement of a passive xover will not affect sound. out of curiousity, where does your friend suggest placing the xover for the BEST sound?
His friend claims that he got much better SQ after moving the xover from the door to the trunk

If anything they'd be better closer to the speaker, but again, with audio frequencies it is virtually no differnence, I doubt even equipment could pick up the difference.

Lol I was about to say....TECHNICALLY speaking it could, as the change in speaker wire lengths could affect the current of the sound....but you wont notice it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
