I just found the old 6x9 that nearly took my buddy's face off during a car crash last year. Story is one buddy was driving ahead of me with several others in the car late at night. I had given him my old set of Sony 6x9's and some boxes for them, which he had sitting in the rear deck of his Saturn (not tied down). Anyways, he blew a stop sign at a T in the road (sign was invisible due to foliage) and smacked the bank on the other side doin about 40mph. Tim, the passenger, was initially saved from injury from the air bag. Apparently though upon impact, the 6x9 boxes from the rear deck, launched forward, then made contact with the headliner about 6 inches from the front, ripping it. It then proceeded to shatter the top of the windsheild, before deflecting back and nailing Tim in the nose. I came upon the scene and got everyone out. At first, Tim didn't look that bad, just delerious. When his faced twitched however, I saw the fine red line running down the center of his nose gape open. He could have laid each side of his nose back against his face it was so deep. Has a hellacious scar there to this day. Totally shattered the frame of the boxes, and split the speaker magnets. Heres Tim's dried blood all over the speaker.
