Hey guys, it pains me to say i've blown one of my subs. Now i've put a lot of thought into my current setup and i'm having trouble deciphering my issues. For anyone to help ur gonna need an equipment list so here goes:

headunit: eclipse cd 7100

Vehicle. Cavalier 2004

wiring: cadence 1/0 to 2nd batt and sub amp, cadence 4 gauge to speaker amp.

alternator EA 350 amp ho custom.

big 3 in 1/0 done.

Batteries: up front stock, rear optima yellowtop ran in parallel.

Sub amp: ma audio hk602sx

speaker amp: ma audio m489I

Subs: 12" dayton audio ho dvc 4ohm

Front speakers: clarion srp4620m

rear speakers: eclipse 6900

all speakers/subs run on individual channels at 2ohms.

gains set using digital mm subs at 700wrms 37.6 I believe volts output. Speakers I don't remember but it should be at rms rating.

Now my subs could handle everything great except the voice coils burned while listening to lower rap ie. Gorilla zoe/ little wayne/ 36 mafia stuff like that. I had some headlight dimming but I figure those are so sensitive to voltage drop ur always gonna get a little. On the voltage meter at the rear battery voltage never dropped below 13volts. Even on rap. So my only guess is im getting clipping from something but I just don't know what to fix........the subs always soundes extremely accurate.

The enclosure is a dual band pass folded horn design from decware called the wicked one. Now that design the subs do sit in a sealed chamber so they will get hot, but I never figured I'd have issues with these setup... how do I fix this so when I replace the subs I wont just fry the next one?

lose the ma amp they are really not worth a crap, it clipped your sub to death heated up the vc and that was the end of it, get something that does clean rated power and you will find almost anything else is going to be more efficient.
