freezing ipod

aside from the obvious how the hell do I keep my ipod from freezing solid? it's 15,11, and 20 for the temps next 3 days and the bastard freezes when it's cold out.

how will a rubber case help? It sits in my glove box 7 hours while I'm at work. I'd rather not keep it in my pocket. I have been leaving it at home because of the cold. I would like to find out how to keep it warm with out having to buy a ssd

If all it does is sit in your glove box why not just use a USB stick? And you didn't say where the ipod was...

because my usb cord is 5'' long and inside my dash, I never thought ahead to buy an extension for it. my ipod uses different cord. and I don't really want to buy a 160gig ssd card/thumb drive

Take it with you if you can. I was leaving my ipod in my glove box and after a few months, the drive finally failed.

I've been leaving it home once I noticed it froze the first day when it was about 30 out. Guess I'll find a usb extension and thumb drive

that is what I was thinking. Have you tried wrapping it with a shirt or something?

I don't think that will really help any. Clothing keeps us warm because we generate our own heat and the insulation helps keep that heat in. His iPod isn't going to be generating any heat when it's sitting idle in his glovebox so I'm pretty sure it would still freeze even if it were wrapped in a blanket.
