Four 8" PA 860's sealed

I have four Planet Audio P-860 (4 ohm each) ebay specials running in a 3 cubic foot box sealed.(all together)

They are run in series and then in parallel=4ohms.

The strange thing I've noticed while watching them move is that the two woofers connected to the positive on the amp move together and the other two that are connected to the negative of the first woofers voice coil move together.

Now would this not mean that there is a time delay to the second woofers because of having to run through the first woofers voice coil ?(cancellation issues)

If above statement is correct then wouldn't there be an advantage to buying higher impedance woofers and running them all in parallel as apposed to lower impedance woofers running in series?

It means one pair is out of phase with the other pair. You sure you hooked everything up right?

x2 on the phase problem-double check ur wiring (on the amp and the subs) and let us know.........das gotta be it

I rewired them in parallel and problem solved.

Amp hates me though.

series wiring between different woofers can affect drivers due to emf..

its always best to keep the series wiring to a single woofer, if its a dvc.. and not series together multiple woofers..

I fought this battle with my 8's..
