Four 12's or Three 15's?

well the 12's would have more actual cone area........but if your looking for a sq system both options are a bit out there.....to many subs for that type of situation......but im a fan of 12's so i'd go w/ the 12's.....jus me tho

Eagle Talon.. lol yeah i dunno how i am, but i think im gonna take out the back seats, and make one big *** box and put 2 15's behind the seats and 1 15 pointing at the back hatch..

Yeah my 4 12's are pissing me off, its good and all, but its more like a big blurrr of bass instead of pounding loud bass. Could just be the settings and maybe im underpowering them.. I mean they are only pioneer 12" impps and i got 800rms in total so 200 a sub.

How do you figure 4 12's being more surface area?

6x6x3.14x4=452.16

7.5x7.5x3.14x3=529.875

Actually 3 15" subs would have more surface area than

4 12" subs.

Average 12" = 82in^2 x 4 = 328in^2

Average 15" =130in^2 x 3 = 390in^2
