Found the source of exterior vibration...

I don't know what this piece is, but the little rubber flaps make a lot of noise with the subs hooked up. Even with the volume at 1 (out of 50), they vibrate noticeably. Anyone have any idea what the purpose of this is? There's one on each side of the car.

Any ideas what this piece is/does? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'd like to eliminate the vibrations this thing makes. Further description accompanies each pic.

Check it out...

i had the same problem, i just stuffed a piece of paper in it lol, worked great. if i had to guess i'd say its a vent for the trunk cause it only opens one way as to let air out but not water in.

edit: read your pic descriptions and looks like you figured that out already lol.

That piece is there to let air out when you slam a door closed, so that you don't shatter any windows or pop your passengers ear drums.

All cars have it in one form or another.... the one pictured looks very similar to my Honda Civic ones....
