that my license been suspended since june 9th for too many unexcused absences in my last semester in high school.

I have been driving like a maniac, bumping like crazy in the daytime, peeling out here and there mostly when its been raining and not been pulled over this summer, pretty lucky considering the officer would tell me I'm suspended......ANyone know what the punishment is for driving while suspended??

Thing is i don't know if I gotta pay the 35 dollar reinstatement fee or what. cuz last summer, same thing junior year last semester got too many absences, got suspended until 30 days consecutive attended days without unexcused absences, and i paid my 35 bucks at the dmv. but now I'm outta HS, so theres no more requirement of 30 consecutive days, and I turned 18 two weeks ago, so i guess i just go in the dmv and pay the 35 bucks again??????? local dmv won't answer there **** phones

wtf here they just lock yo *** up for truancy you are lucky .. but HS is been over for me for a while .. there should have been a letter telling you that your DL was suspended and you have to send it in otherwise its another $100+ fine because your DL is property of the state

yeah that letter must have been thrown out with junk mail a couple of months ago, i got that letter junior year,,,, oh yeah it said you had to surrender the license itself but i never did haha

all they do is send a letter so wtf they expect people to actually receive and open it, it could easily be tossed, seems like i could tell the officer if i get pulled over for any shit before i get this all sorted out that i just didn't know.

I cannot speak for the exact punishment(s) in FL but I do know from personal experience from years ago what Louisiana does to someone caught driving under suspension...

(a) Depending on the municipality writing the citation it may or may not result in immediate jailtime. Some places will just write you a violation for DuS and some will write you the ticket plus arrest you. That's where it starts.

(b) A conviction for DuS results in a healthy fine, more points against your license, and an automatic additional year of suspension!

Good luck driving around acting a complete fool while you're not legally able to operate a motor vehicle on public roadways there in FL...

nah i got a 3.2 gpa dudessss. Its not like missed 30 whole days of school in a row. its 15 unexcused absences including induvidual class periods or more within a 90 day semester. so you could miss one class period every other day for 30 school days and get suspended.
