i came acorst this amp a few years back and it needed an rca jack so i just had it fixed. the amp is VERY powerful. my question is- iam running it bridged and it gets hot. do these style amps get hot normally. its running at 3 ohms with one driver

They tend to run hot, it is not meant for a 3 ohm load bridged either, but it should hack it.

it takes it good but it just gets hotter than iam used to. i usually run class d amps on the sub but this is a class a/b i guess. its a dam powerfull amp too. not a bad deal for me, i paid only $100 for it mabie 2 or 3 years ago. i did notice that i have to run both gains around 2/3 or higher to get good sound level though. but it works good, only cost me $3 for the rca jack.

mabie but not now. iam gonna use it for a while to see if i like it. i had sold an mtx81000d but the guy couldnt afford it so i bought it back. once i make up my mind(iam polish)which one iam going to keep, i will most likely sell the other
