yea mine did that when i reboot, usually the key is programed into the comp so when u format and reinstall it usually wont ask u for it again unless u install mic programs then it will ask 4 it

On my dell I havent had to use the key ever either. I dont know. Ive reinstalled once and it didnt ask.

it's easy to obtain key generating progs. .....key changing progs........all kinds of goodies.......not that I know from personal experience

if you have a dell desktop, im willing to be you have 2 hard drives, 1 for your day to day operations and 1 for the windows xp software, it was developed to save time and money on dell tech calls. it can restore windows with out disk and activation as it is already loaded and all you did was a SUPER system restore and not a whole new installation //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

they dont have to physical hard drives most of the time its just to partitions on one hard drive:eyebrow:

I dont think it's spyware. WHen I click on it I get sent to a microsoft site telling me " Purchase a Windows Genuine Advantage Kit Online
