Hi guys,
I posted a speaker-related issue a few days ago, but am updating my question due to a new purchase. I have:
HU: Alpine IVA-W200 w/iPod Cable
Amp: JL-Audio e6450 6 channel Amp
Sub: JL CS110RG-W1v2 10" Sealed "Power Wedge"
Front Speakers: Focal 165A1 6.5" 2-way Component
Rear Speakers: Focal 165CA1 6.5" 2-way Coax
I just ordered the Alpine PXA-H701 which will arrive on Monday. My front components are in their stock location and I've been wondering if the tweeter isn't just a little too close to me and too far from the 6.5" Mid-bass.
Apart from some eq issues in the car I feel like I don't hear a soundstage... just point-sources. I was using the rear Focal coax's for rear-fill but have all but eliminated this in attempts to adjust the settings with the W200.
With the addition of the H701 I could go to an active setup and tweak the crossover points and perhaps time-correct, but I'm wondering if it's better to tweak with the time-correction with the speakers as-is or re-position the tweeters down closer to the bottom of the door where the 6.5 is...
Any thoughts?
Many thanks in advance,
Plumpjack
