For Those of You With Illegal Tint...

they don't really fret about 5% here because of the sun so it's a give and take.
word... i have 20 all around (i think? car came w/ it) and a 14" strip on the windshield... never had a prob

but the rear window is starting to bubble so im gonna take that in to get the rear redone w/ 5% in about a week or so... bubbles in tint bug the shit outta me... ill also see how much to do 5% on the sides... but they are in good shape as of now

minnesota , 20% all around and legal is 50 %
Never been hastled or pulled over ect, been running this tint on my last two cars for a running total of 2.5 years
Same here, running 35% for over 3 years...never once felt nervous about it. Either cops are dumb, they don't fricken care or they only pull over cars with tint jobs that look like the should be pulled over...if you know what I mean //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Why did you do your windshield?? That's trouble waiting to happen.. I guess you don't drive at night very much?
I've heard in some states they are trying to make it attempted murder (or it's passed already) to even be within view of a screen playing video, so I can only imagine what they would say about a tinted windshield.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
that would be attempted manslaughter //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

doing something that has a big chance of causing you to accidently kill someone

i dont do anything illegal at all, in or out of my car, i just like how it looks and its HOT AS BALLS in florida...i usually ride with the windows down anyways so if i was trying to hide something i would not have my sides down...
nobody said anything about you doing illegal things, just that having front is gonna cause trouble

lousiana....front windows can be 20% and the back windows can be dark as you want, about to get 5 all around installed. buddy of mine has 5% with double 20% over it all around and double 35% on the windshield with a double 2.5% strip.
Umm, no...it's not.

In Louisiana the current regulations call for front sides to be 40% and the rest no darker than 25% (net darkness including any factory coloring on/in the glass)

My car has 35% on the front doors and 5% everywhere else including the windshield 'visor'

I've been stopped for it three times since having it done but wasn't ticketed any of those times (thankfully)

I have had all my windows (minus the windshield durrr) at 15% for 4-5 months now without any problems.

Then again I am white and the police around here don't usually bother with me. Or maybe I am just lucky.

NC

5% all the way around (minus windsheild)

Never been pulled over for it.

One of my good friends is an inspector.

In Chicago

No fronts allowed, I have 35% smoke all around excluding windshield.

No inspection that I know of, just emissions testing and they didnt care about the tints.

Pulled over five times so far for tints driving legally otherwise, ticketed three times. If you're driving in the city strictly you are less likely to get pulled over for tints unless you have crazy shit like these guys on here with double 5 on their windshields; if you venture out to the northwest suburbs like Niles and Harwood Heights whcih I drive through a lot since I have friends up there, you better have the windows down, the cops are notorious for giving lame tickets out there. I know one person that got a 31 in 30 ticket //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blackeye.gif.66a1670f5aaf7f406e783a63e3387dc5.gif in Harwood Heights about a year ago, and late nights anything 8+ over the 30 limit on Harlem Ave you're getting pulled over, me and my friends have been pulled over that many times that I pretty much know all the cops in that area and their hiding spots so I'm ok now but at first it felt weird getting pulled over for 38 in 30 at 2am with no other cars on the road and getting yelled at for driving recklessly.

this is with all windows down lol

I cant believe you dont get messed with. My buddy had has front done in 20% and the rest was double 5% and he had so many tickets that he had to get a part time job to pay them off. No lie!

I have 20% all around and dont get messed with, but I usually roll my windows down just in case.

Also no state inspection here.

I have my windsheild done in 35. The rest is 20. The only time I had trouble was in Pigeon Forge in bumper to bumper traffic by a bicycle cop. I had 5 all around and 30 on the front. I actually got out of the ticket by removing the tint on the side of the road. He didn't notice the front windsheild.

i've got 35% all around including windshield (not legal here in hawaii). 35% is ok except for front windshield. only vans & trucks are allowed to have any percentage of darkness but that only applies to the rear windows.

here in CT:

anything darker than 35% on front 2 is illegal, nothing allowed on windshield except a strip, and the back windows can be as dark as possible.

ive got 5% all around the backs with 15% up front and 5% strip across the windshield, been pulled over once but that was in Rye, NY got off with a verbal warning

just roll down the window when you see a cop
