My seatbelt also saved my life just over a year ago.. Maybe it will take some of you guys getting into an accident before you will realize that it does make a difference.. You are not invincible.. I rarely wore mine before the accident thinking I was a good driver and all that, but it only take a split-second for your whole life to change.. I never go anywhere without it now.. It really opened my eyes..

Wish I had a pic of my Cutlass Calais I had when I was in my accident in 1996. My car was yours x5, lol! Hurt my knee pretty bad, but besides that I had cuts, brusies and such. I was home the next day. I wasnt wearing my seatbelt back then. They said sometimes they could make it worse off for people my size. This girl down the road pulled out of her subdivision and cut off this huge Dodge Ram just after I had passed. She was in some small white car, an older Oldsmobile I think. Then the truck tried to swerve into the other lane to miss her but instead T-Boned her, I just glanced into my rear-view mirror and see this car 3 feet in the air spinning uncontrollably as it slams into the ditch. It was crazy I thought she died for sure, turns out she had a broken rib and the cops said she probably would have died if she had her seatbelt on. Since she didn't have it on she flew to the other side of the car and the driver side was just crushed. It was one of the craziest things I've ever seen.

Just somethin to think about, I usually wear a seatbelt but the one in my car is just uncomfortable to wear so most of the time I don't. If I am driving on the freeway or on some of the other roads around here that are a little more dangerous then I'll throw it on.
