I hate to see these guys go. Theyre my favorite set I've had to date. Unfortunatly, one of the passives are acting up and I have to keep a passive setup due to installing a double din eclipse gps.

Here's a link.

The cost of a replacement passive crossover is almost $400 so I want to move them quick so someone is going to get a deal if they plan to go active like I did previously.

Theyre installed in my car now so this is the only pic I have of all that I was installing in my new ride before the process began.

Ive run a lot of speakers, rainbow profi, Seas, Polk SR, morel, lots of diy and these are my fav so far.

$350 shipped. Due to the passive issues and being used.

Its impossible to find these this cheap but I just want to fund my new speakers.

If someone wants to trade, Ill consider dynaudio, focal utopia, rainbow higer end or something else thats of high quality and has a great passive crossover.

i have some rainbow profi vanadium phase plugs....

I would have considered it but I jut picked up the seas lotus set. So far, I like the Zapco set more but I have some tuning to do with the seas. I cant tell you how much I recommend these speakers. I am not sure if I want to get rid of the zapco tweets even though I shelled out so much for the Lotus set.

Before I ran these I ran the rainbow profi kickbass set, I liked the Zaps a whole lot more.

Sets I've used that IMO dont sound as good. All active.

PG Ti

Rainbow profi kick

Seas er18 @ morel mt23

OzMatrix

Polk SR

really people, this set is as good as it gets. The Lotus is up there, but not nearly as smooth sounding. 128 kbps mp3s are unbearable with the lotus.

Id compare them to the profi kick paper cone set with the silk tweets except, these tweeters are more detailed and slightly more aggressive. I like them and so does anyone who has owned or heard them.

Edit: The conclusion of their test on Ca&E

Conclusion

I was a little skeptical of these speakers when I heard that they were a first effort from an amplifier company. Even the fact that they were from Zapco did not assuage my doubt. But after listening to them and living with them, I am a believer. These are one of the best component systems I have listened to; I would put them within the top five. What is interesting is that they are the least expensive of my top five, too. While $1,159 is a lot of money (and Zapco is working to improve the owneris manual and the other things I whined about earlier), I have to say the Zapco CK-16.2's may just be a deal at this price. You need to go and listen to them. Take your favorite CDs and goo.. right now. Go....
