I have had the amp for about 2 months and decided to change out the equipment for something different. Its a great amp and comes with everything including the manuals, end caps and box. Curious of the diff between this and the 2500d? I'd assume from the model # (5000d) it would be twice as powerful but they seem to have about the same specs..

hey the amps are very similar but i believe the 2500d is able to output more power then the newer 2007/08 orion hcca5000 i think the hcca has a regulator or something on it which only lets it put out 2500 but the orion 2500d is the amp yuo can put more volts to get and get more power out of! but i could be absolutley wrong on that don't quote me on it!

when they say 5000 they mean 5000watts! and rms value is roughly half!

lol derrr for me! i would assume it is more money b/c it is NEWER the the 2500d are lol! plus BNIB is like 650-700 shipped to 500 is a good deal, plus you would pay around 350-400 for a used orion 2500d lol! other then that! you got to ask him!
