The foams will help, just cutout the bottom. As for the x/o,try dblesided tape or screw them to the outer sheet metal of the door panel itselfI just got mine today. I plan on cutting them in half and making rain hats for my speakers. My doors leak like a sieve for some reason. It rained hard all day yesterday, and when I opened my door today, water poured out the bottom... I also have to figure out what to do with the crossovers, as they are just lying at the bottom now, the bottom where the water is //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
What you need is a regular MDF baffle, that you'll probably need to make yourself. The foam baffles are just for speaker protection; that's it. They are cup-type things that you install your speakers "in" so that the rear of them aren't open and exposed. And they aren't thick at all, so I doubt they'll do what you are trying to accomplish.I need to install some Baffles so I can keep my rear speakers a little higher in my trunk so I can fit another inch of box in it. Where can I get some and what are the best types?
But it sounds better coming from me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gifApoc, i told you what to do !As Squeak9798 already put down, you have to make them out of MDF.
Remember i told you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
