Fluid Buildup Behind Ears

What is an ear infection and do they hurt? I remember all my friends who used to get them said their ear area hurt and what not extremely.

I just noticed lately (I'm 22) that my left ear "feels like" there is a itty bit of water inside of the ear drum (like what happens sometimes when you leave a pool, etc). It's been that way for about a month. Doesn't hurt whatsoever though, at all. Not sure what it is and if I should go to the doctor for it.

My mom used a earwax candle on her ears.... they're supposed to improve your hearing substantially and prevent/improve infection. There's some skepticism about them though.. but I guess there is for a lot of things to a certain extent.

If it's just since you got your system, it may just be wax buildup. When your ears are exposed to high levels of sound for prolonged periods, the wax builds up. I guess it's a protective measure or something. You get that a lot if you crank your earbuds all the time too.

But if it's fluid, I would have a doctor check it out before you do anything other than q-tips.
