fishing rod and reel packaging

im thinking about posting a reel and rod in the misc. classifieds. and if it is purchased how would i go about in packaging it?

The 'custom' fishing rods my boss gets come in either heavy cardboard tubing or pvc.

yeah, first unscrew the reel from the rod, then depending on if it is a good rod or not it should detach about halfway through, that can then be put in like a poster tube or any kind of tube. The reel can just be wrapped in bubble and shipped seperatly.

good rods are 1 piece IMO.

just use a long *** cardboard box and pvc pipe to protect the eyes and the actual rod.
