Fire it up? Or down?

I have a 2001 GMC SIerra Z71 extended cab truck.

I have built 2 sealed boxes, 1 each, for 2 CDT MS-80 8" SQ subs. The boxes are .42 cu/ft and the spec is for between .25 and .45 cu/ft. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The subs will be going under the rear seat of the truck. I will have between 1 and 1.5 inches of clearance between the top of the box and the bottom of the seat. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/scared.gif.f134e57c6c93ccd0f15aa5ac32c7d4a0.gif

Will I get better results by having them fire into the seat or off of the floor? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif

Will walling off 3 sides and leaving only the front side for the soundwave to generate forward help? :stuck:

Any and all help is appreciated in advance.

PEACE

I have an extended cab pickup also. I have tried facing subs up, down, forward and backward. I couldn't tell any difference in sound.

Trial and error. Try different directions and see what sounds best.

Good Luck!
