updated with pics now. Is it normal for the mts coil to scratch when you press in the cone just a little off? Really tight gap? When I play it on test tones, in the box it gets loud in the box, but it wasnt screwed in or nothing so air seeps through. But when I have it out and play it, it sounds like air going through a small hole, is that also normal? Would I hear it in the port?

well you aren't ever supposed to push on a sub, and of course if you press anywhere but on the exact center the VC will scratch on the motor. this causes damage, don't do it anymore

i only did it once and stoped right away, it felt like it hurt me too. but this thing loves the lows box is tuned to 34.
