You'd sure wanna be certain that you are an excellent R/C airplane pilot. Crash that sucker and there goes 10K down the drain. Seems like if it will reach 280mph it would escape the effective range of the remote pretty easily...

I can see way too many things going wrong to invest in something like that even if I could afford it.

If I had an extra 10K laying around I'd take off of work for a couple of months and go see my wife.
