im looking for great sq/sql out of a 15 in a sealed 3cu ft box. this sub must...

1. hit LOW(30hz and down)

2.handle 800-1000 rms

3. sound great,but get a little loud

These are the 2 15's i come up with for the $200 mark im looking for. I emailed FI for sealed box specs on the ssd15 but no reply. any input?

Never heard the SE, but I have a friend whos running a 15" SSD but w/ copper and no BP. He has only 600 watts running to it and it sounds pretty dam good for such little power running to it. It is in a 3 cube box tuned at 35 Hz FYI. If I wanted to run a more than decent and fairly cheap setup, I say go SSD all the way.

i had a SSD 15 w/ copper coils for almost a year then sold it. Its an awesome sub and i miss it. They havent gotten to test it in sealed which means potered is probably the way to go but i have been told sealed is just fine.

you can expect very very nice lows for sure along with just decent sound and accuracy id say its sort of in the middle of SQL and SPL

Parameterwize (now some will maybe tell us they are not that important) this driver seems to fit perfectly for a sealed application. I would not hesitate a second to try one out, if I wanted a 15" sealed. I might go with the 12" though (sealed).
