Fi Q vs. Diamond D9 what is better running at 1200 rms. Looking for SQ. I can't decide between the 2 so need oppinions.

Never heard a diamond, but you cant go wrong with a Q. Its a solid performer.

Never heard a Q but the d9's are some awesome subs. The sq is top notch and spl is great. A review of it found here.

The D9 is very closely compared to the Mag.

d9 sounds better than the mag. the d9 will sound better. it has some super tight bass, lacks a little on the low end, it has trouble holding a super deep note for long periods of time. they are really touchy to boxes.

they are one of the most power hungry woofers i have owned. 1200+

I kept the TDX's here just in case. And here they still sit. The Q's have been in for roughly 2 weeks and will be staying. Louder, yes. I am waiting for the spiders to loosen up and get more playing time on them before I can really judge, but I will say they play flatter and go a bit lower right out of the box.

I second and third that. Much like the hex mids, the TDX/D9's are very power hungry.

Oh, and just for those wondering. This was a direct swap. Same box, amp, and car.

1000 will get it moving, but they will need much more to reach their potential.

i have had 5 of the tdx/d9's and they are super power hungry. like 1500 watts a piece on the 12"s
