Fi Q -> SLC265 Kick

Looking for a match to my Rainbow SLC 265 Kicks and last time I was scouring these forums I remember looking into Fi Q stuff.

Right now I've got a Pio Premier 3002SPL 12" so it might be easy to upgrade from that. The bass is a little muddy at times, and is definitely more suitable for rap..

I do listen to everything, 80GB worth of music at my fingertips in the car so I can switch from A Tribe Called Quest to Led Zep in a minute.

What is your budget? I would look into the new Mags when they come out, which should be soon. Will be my next sub and will be a nice match to that componet set.

depends on whether or not my amp would need to be upgraded. I have a Rockford Fosgate 801S punch that's doin about 900W RMS bridged at 4 ohm.

Whats the details on the new mag? (release time, specs, ****, whatever ya got)

I'm also considering a used 15" Mag (sealed box for size)... would that do 4ohms?

Also would it overpower the Rainbows?

I'm waiting for mag comparisons and to see how fi's sq sub does when is comes out. But that could be a long while. I wonder if it will utilize split gap?

Well they only come in D2, the new mags.

Last time I checked on release date, it was around spring. So should be anytime now.

There are only a couple prototype pics of it IIRC. Look cool though.

They are 1000rms, but they say feed it over just 500 and they sing. Nice as it only goes in a 1.2cft box sealed. They don't recommed ported with this new generation of Mag speakers.

Definitely consider a new Mag or BM, gonna have killer SQ and small box requirements. I am definitely changing out my 2 BMs for 1 Mag so I only have 1 cuft used instead of 4. The new Mag will also definitely have excellent build quality.

Hell no, amazing sub, the new Mag will have better SQ but that mag can soak up ~1500 or so watts and get loud on the meter.
