Fi or SSA?

ok been down the route of plannin on 4 hifonics 12's and 2 1000w amps, i got 2 of my subs in and hooked up runnin 150w each, plain and simple, i hate them they ****, now i have no faith in hifonics even though i really do love my hifonics components, however with only 150 on each i dont see them gettin any audiably louder with more power, so i've decided to put the budget build in the trash and just say the hell with it the skys the limit(but with a limit sorta) wantin to hit atleast 150db no less more is clearly better though! so i was thinkin a got my wall built for 4 12's 2 seprate chambers givin each sub 2.5ft^3 each and tuned to 28-29hz so im pretty much set for anything decent, was plannin to go with 4 Fi's, with the options i think it was like 300somethin each, then i though well in that price range per sub why not shop around. so i stumble apon the SSA icons, if i get these i would go d2 wire them bishes to 1 ohm and get 4 killer underated amps. at 600 a pop im thinkin maybe sundowns? but i dont know what there true power is, my boy has concept 1500s at his shop and tested them to be in the 1800w true watts range(def underrated) so im lookin to do something like that i figure with 5g's plus in the system i cant hit over 150's im makin a huge bond fire out of my jeep all audio equipment inside or i would gladly trade all equipment for lots of beer to sit by the jeep on fire! anyways im finally seeing the light. between everyone on here and my boy always raggin me about the budget builds it time to stop lookin at prices and start lookin at the real deal! so for 300 a sub lets here some opinions of subs that some of you have used(had experience with) so i can start savin and plannin. any ways 300 a sub need/really want somethin that can do minimum 1000w all day long and withstand massive abuse cause imma test the shit outta what ever i get to see what this whole "not budget building" is really made of! and just cause the sub or amp(need recommendations to research on that too) cost more never means its better. for all i know the ssa sub is better even though its cheaper!

i got 2 of my 12's in today, i dont have the 1000w amps yet so since my 4 channle can do 300X4@2ohm i wired each sub to a channel and put 2 components per channel, posed to be 300 per sub and 300 per set of components but the fusing is only 2 30s so i assume its 150X4@2ohms in reality, so even with only 150 per sub these things knock hard! i love it cant wait to get the other 2 plus the 2 1000w amps and 2 extra batts, should be nice as hell! ill get pics of the 2 12's i got later on tonight!

yeah it wasnt bad but then i hooked up my old mb quart RAA1000 and the sounded the same, didnt really push anymore air and i think i actually lost spl, the SQ was decent but i only have had them in for less than 2 weeks, not only are they broke in there gettin weak on me already, and i can smell the coils burnin! they jus plain **** now, i guess before there broke in is the only way they gonna be worth a crap. dont get me wrong hifonics really has put out some decent products, or maybe i just bought some dud subs but the last couple days have jus givin my no motivation to wanna spend more money on the low class stuff when i could just put some stuff on layaway and when tax time comes my girl hookin me up with an extra grand to throw down so imma put amps on layaway now and when the grand comes along imma add a few more hundred to it and get 4 bad *** 12's, i might not be the loudest in the state but ill be the loudest 4 12's in 100 miles! not many people around here actually have any thing louder than 145's with usin only 12's so im goin for the loudest jeep cherokee with only 4 12's,

at the moment(along with not havin bass for the last few months i think 2 8's would have made my impatient @$$ happy that night. honestly if i knew where ya were i'd give you these subs right now, then again im in a bad mood today so imkinda rippin crap out my jeep out of anger and in this process i decided to just go all out and maybe even take out a loan just to get the best 12's and amps 5g's can buy! im limiting myself to 5g's including batts and wireing. so 2500 in amps, 1200 in subs and plenty left over for some powermaster batts from jegs.com and all the wire ill need!

thats what my boy said but i already got the box in there and walled off, and i really don wanna have wasted the wood, plus im usin this for day to day listening as well and i like 15's but sound wise 12's hit the notes that 15's sometimes cant! if i was doin only spl the yeah i would remake the front of my box and just go with 4 15's and 2k each cause the 15's dont cost that much more really!

Take a BFH to it then. And FYI............15's will hit all the notes that 12's do.

Otherwise 4 HDC's off 4 2200D's should put up some nice numbers.
