is getting the Fi BL series sub an upgrade from the Kicker L7, i was told that with all of the upgrades on the BL that push 1500 - 1800 watts to the BL. Is that too much? what amp should I use to run it?

or should I just get the Fi BTL, but i was also told with all the upgrades, the rms will go up to 4000, from the original 2000. i'm so confused...

1800 watts is great for the BL. Mine is loving all of the 1800 im sending it.

you're just using a single 12" that's what i might do, or get a 15. what amp are you using? anything i can get made by hifonics to power it? if you don't mind, let me know what to buy, i'm new at everything still for the most part. what upgrades on the Bl do i need, etc...

and how loud is your sub? louder than the 900 watts i'm pushing from a hifonics bx1205d to my kicker L7?

i hope so, that's why i want a new sub. something louder to shake the heck out of everything when i want it to. and something to keep the quality good.

my hifonics bxi2006d amp, rated @2000watts, actually it pushing around 1600rms watts is powering my RE XXX 15 insanely!!!!

That amp would work great for you. You can get it for $320 shipped also!!
