How is this sub? Im considering, and actually saving for one to replace my PB 3xl in its own box. Now that i got the LC2i i crave more power.

Is this a good purchase? IF not, what would be a better sub in this price range?

Im upgrading from the 3xl so i can use the full power of my amplifier. Ive heard people putting 2500W rms into them daily and they take it. One person i know has a single 12" BL in a 8 cubed box and beating the hell out of it with a starved for power MB quartz for months and it still lives. I know this guy has no idea what he is doing, but it goes to show how that Fi can take a beating.

Yeah the box is so big it causes the Fi to excurt well over 4". Im surprised its not only working, but loud and clean. He also overheated it many many times to the point where burning coil was smelled

Hcca's are Overrated.. Better can for a Proce! Lol. Ask my buddy who spent a small fortune on 4 10's! Custom ported box AQ 3500.. Not even really loud for a suv (denali) Box isnt built around cabin either which doesnt help.

Well, 4 HCCA 10s = 4500W rms; 3500 isnt pushing them very well

Ya kinda... But should still be louder than what it is tho... They still get moving pretty good.

By now this topic is de-railed, but the 10s ive heard in person **** while the 15s are actually rather impressive

If he sells you the 12 cheap enough you can get a 15" basket and recone and have a new sub and save some $$$...
