some vehicles will neeed a bypass, you can pick those up on ebay for cheap, get the dei one for your specific vehicle, if you need help, let me know. a previous buyer of the last viper sale i had asked a shop about installing, they wanted to charge 80 bucks just for the bypass, on ebay for like 20 bucks shipped.
