FedEx came!!!111!11one!!! Woot!!

Kleen Klay should be good till about 185* F. I have it all over my car...including doors and it doesn't get gooey or melt, but neither has any other wax-based NHMC I've used either.

MSDS on it: http://www.fibreglast.com/documents/252.pdf

Oh, and I buy it for $2.70/lb locally. When I sold sound proofing stuff, I considered turning it for $5/lb to nEWbs. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

So what is the exact use of this stuff for car/audio purposes? Just curious.

i got a solid foundation and didn't use any clay. i doubt it would benefit me any.
Due to the size of my baffles, they don't exactly sit flush with my door, so I had to use clay to build up the door to get a solid, snug fit. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Mass loading

Did anyone mention REAL mass loading?

A good quality deadener has very good elastic properties, which means it springs back to form. NHMC has very good plastic properties, which means it resists deformation....or if it does change shape, it tends not to spring back, but says put.

Damping is not mass loading. The proof is in the pudding......errr in the clay. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
