This week I reconed a few 12's and decided to go with a variation of the box I liked the best so far... I really like the way this sounds in the jeep. Also it doesn't come up too high in the back so it's at least possible to mount and unmount woofers with the box in place. Handles the power very well (though at 4.2 ohm nominal it's probably rising a good bit most of the time and not really getting a full 6K) I think I may be able to drop impedence for a good gain for burps...more testing will be needed. I left myself some room to cut another 12" hole for a 4th 12, but I think the SPL gain would be marginal when compared to the tradeoff in low extension. And I really don't have any great impedence options running 4 of them. Later this summer when the new dual 2.8 copper coils for the small gap sig come out I'll do up the neo 18's and put them in a huge *** box tuned @ 50hz and go for a big number, but this box will keep me pretty happy until then.
