Don't buy Aiwa stuff. In my opinion Aiwa makes junk. My mom used to have a home stereo of theirs, and the changer in it quit working after a couple of years. I used to have an 89 Tbird, and had one of their cd changers that I had gotten for Christmas one year in the trunk. About like a year later maybe? Under 2 anyway, the thing did not work anymore. I would definitely reccomend another company. Like Pioneer. Pioneer is not my favorite, but I do have a deh 1500 head unit in my current car, had it for a couple of years, bought it because of the price at the time, and it sounded ok, and again, the price. Money talks right? No problems with it, still sounds great, especially after redoing the custom eq stuff. So if you have that problem again, I'd reccomend something different than Aiwa. Pioneer or Alpine preferably.
